KINGDOM OF JAVILSMAK

Chapter 1: The Fall of the Old King

Long, long ago, there was a magical kingdom called Javilsmak. It was a very unusual country. Everyone who lived there had magical powers. It might sound strange, but the people of Javilsmak loved their magical lives.

The kingdom was filled with beautiful greenery, colourful flowers and fresh, sweet-smelling air. You could actually smell the flowers from far away!

Javilsmak also had good relationships with the neighbouring countries, so there were no wars or enemies to worry about. The people lived peacefully and happily.

But something was about to change.

Javilsmak was supposed to be a kingdom by the people, of the people and for the people. Sadly, their king had forgotten what those words meant.

One day, a group of angry citizens gathered before the king.

Oh, King! Where are we supposed to live?” they asked angrily.

The citizens had been living in temporary huts, while the king lived in a magnificent palace made of heavy stones. The country was extremely wealthy, but the king was very greedy. He collected huge amounts of tax from the people but refused to spend even a penny on them.

“What an annoying fly! Why is it flying around our lovely land?” the king would complain about even the smallest things.

The people became tired of their selfish king. They grumbled and complained among themselves, but soon, some clever citizens came up with a plan.

They decided to use their magical powers together.

Before long, the people of Javilsmak used their powers to destroy the king’s palace. Even the queen, the royal children and the king’s most powerful guards could not stop them.

The king’s magical powers began to weaken. Soon, he had no strength left at all.

The once-proud king, who had always claimed to be the strongest person in the kingdom, was now hiding under his bed in fear.

Finally, the king was defeated and sent to prison.

Now Javilsmak needed a new king.

The people gathered together and chose King Lucas, who promised that he would listen to the citizens and rule according to their needs. He swore that he would work fairly for the people and never become like the old king.

King Lucas began rebuilding Javilsmak. Slowly, the kingdom became beautiful and prosperous once again. The people were happier than ever, and they admired their new king.

“I must admit,” one citizen said with a smile, “he really is our favourite king!”

But little did the people know that something unexpected was waiting for them…

Chapter 2: The Enchanting Lady

The little country of Javilsmak was cheerful once again. The people loved and praised their new king, King Lucas, for being loyal and fair.

But there was one person who was not completely happy.

King Lucas himself was sad.

But why?

Everyone wondered.

King Lucas longed to have a queen by his side and children running around his castle. He wanted his grand castle to be filled with laughter and happiness.

One day, while walking through the kingdom, King Lucas saw a young woman working in the fields. She was hardworking, kind and completely focused on her work.

The king admired her hardworking nature and began to wonder whether he should marry her.

But just then, his minister came running towards him and cried out,

Your Majesty! The women of the country know that you are searching for a queen! What are you going to do? How will you choose one?

King Lucas was suddenly worried.

“How could I possibly find the perfect queen?” he wondered.

Then, an idea struck him.

“I know!” he exclaimed. “I shall hold a contest!”

The king immediately announced his decision to the people.

Dear ladies and gentlemen! I have been searching for a queen, and I have come to a conclusion. I am going to host a contest, and whoever wins shall become my queen!

Excitement spread through Javilsmak like wildfire.

Women from all over the kingdom began preparing for the contest. Everyone wanted to know what challenges they would have to face.

“There will be five rounds in this contest,” announced the king.

But what were these five rounds?

What would the contestants have to do?

And, most importantly, who would become the queen of Javilsmak?

The people would have to wait for the days of the contest to find out.

Keep reading to discover what happens in the first round…

Chapter 3: The First Round

Girls and women all over Javilsmak were present in the great hall of the palace.

So, gentle ladies!” announced King Lucas. “The first round is simple. All of you will be given a seed, and whoever grows the best flower will pass on to the second round.”

“Well, that is a piece of cake for me!” Gustla boasted. “Of course, I’ll be prepared to start calling myself the queen!”

Gustla’s best friend, Maria, smiled at her.

“Oh, Gustla, how can you be so sure?” Jasmine asked.

Maria laughed and said, “Just because you won’t win doesn’t mean La won’t!”

Gustla looked at Jasmine and teased her.

Oh, poor Jasmine! A pretty face won’t help you win, Jasmine!

Jasmine chatted happily with Rowena and Elina.

But indeed, no one could deny that Jasmine was pretty—so pretty that even King Lucas found it difficult to look away from her. She was petite and delicate, but she was also intelligent. She was very hardworking, and she was extremely rich as well.

The girls were then given their seeds.

Everyone hurried to plant them. Some girls tried to force their seeds to grow using their magical powers. They tried everything they could think of to make their plants bloom.

But Jasmine did not try to force her seed to grow.

Neither did thirty other girls.

They simply cared for their seeds patiently and waited.

Soon, the first round came to an end.

Out of 5,212 girls, only 31 had passed the first round.

Jasmine was one of them.

But Gustla and Maria had not passed.

Gustla was shocked. She had been so sure that she would become the queen!

The first round was over, but the competition was only getting started…

Chapter 4: The Second Round

Ria, Ria, wake up! Quick!” Gustla shouted, trying to wake her best friend, Maria.

Maria slowly opened her eyes.

“What happened?” she asked sleepily.

“Why are you sleeping? We have to do something!” Gustla said.

Maria looked at her confusedly.

“But what can we do now? We didn’t even make it to the second round,” she reminded her.

Gustla sighed. She and Maria had failed the first round of the queen’s contest. Out of thousands of girls, only a small number had passed, and unfortunately, they were not among them.

Gustla was still upset about it.

“But we can make sure Jasmine doesn’t become the queen!” she said.

Maria looked at her and smiled.

“Oh! But we can make sure Jasmine doesn’t become the queen!” she agreed.

Gustla’s face brightened.

“Of course! That is quite an amazing job!” she said eagerly.

Meanwhile, the contestants who had passed the first round were getting ready for the second round.

Jasmine was walking through the palace when she suddenly heard someone calling behind her.

Hey, miss! Miss! Wait, miss!

Jasmine stopped and turned around.

It was King Lucas.

He hurried towards her and smiled.

“Excuse me, miss. May I know your name?” he asked.

Jasmine politely replied, “My name is Jasmine, Your Majesty.”

Lucas smiled.

“Jasmine… What a lovely name.”

He then bowed politely to her.

Jasmine smiled and bowed slightly in return.

Lucas suddenly felt his face getting warm. He became red with embarrassment.

Jasmine, however, remained perfectly calm.

Lucas quickly tried to hide his embarrassment.

“Well, Jasmine, I hope you do well in the contest,” he said.

“Thank you, Your Majesty,” Jasmine replied politely.

As Jasmine walked away, Lucas watched her for a moment before finally turning around.

Meanwhile, Flora, the daughter of the commander of the royal army, had noticed their interaction.

She stared at Jasmine with a jealous expression.

“You are mine, Lucas. Mine!” she thought.

Soon, the second round began.

The contestants gathered in the kitchen of the palace. This round was designed to test their culinary skills.

Jasmine decided to prepare fugu, a famous Japanese dish made with pufferfish. It was a dangerous dish to prepare because even a small mistake could make it poisonous.

Jasmine carefully prepared the dish. She knew that she could not afford to lose her concentration for even a second.

Flora, meanwhile, decided to make fried rice. She thought it would be easy and simple to prepare.

She began cooking confidently.

But things did not go according to plan.

While preparing the fried rice, Flora made one mistake after another. She added the wrong ingredients and struggled to get the taste right. She tried to make it look beautiful, but somehow it became even worse.

When she finally looked at her dish, it was horrible.

Flora stared at it in disbelief.

“How am I supposed to win with this?” she thought.

Meanwhile, Jasmine continued preparing her fugu with complete concentration.

Gustla and Maria were not participating in the round, but they were still determined to cause trouble. They kept passing remarks and trying to make Jasmine lose her concentration.

But Jasmine did not pay attention to them.

She remained calm and focused on her dish.

She carefully finished preparing the fugu and added the final touches.

The judges then came forward to taste the dishes.

Everyone waited nervously.

King Lucas tasted the dishes carefully. When he reached Jasmine’s dish, he was impressed by how beautifully it had been prepared.

Finally, the results were announced.

Jasmine, Rowena, Elina, Rasha, Mira, Grace and Victoria have passed the second round!” announced King Lucas.

The successful girls smiled happily.

The second round was over.

Only a few contestants remained in the competition.

But the queen’s contest was becoming more exciting with every round…

And the third round was waiting for them.
